Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Maintenance

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of DRI plant equipment.
• Maintain rotary kilns, coolers, conveyors, ESPs, fans, pumps, compressors, crushers, and material handling systems.
• Monitor equipment health and reduce downtime.

Equipment Inspection & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct vibration analysis, alignment, lubrication, and condition monitoring.
• Coordinate shutdown and turnaround maintenance activities.

Planning & Execution

• Prepare maintenance schedules and job plans.
• Ensure availability of spare parts and consumables.
• Coordinate with operations, electrical, and instrumentation teams.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow plant safety standards, permit systems, and statutory compliance.
• Ensure safe maintenance practices during shutdowns and repairs.
• Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.

Performance Improvement

• Suggest modifications for improving reliability and efficiency.
• Analyze recurring breakdowns using RCA (Root Cause Analysis).
• Support energy-saving and cost-reduction initiatives.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain maintenance records, logbooks, and inspection reports.
• Update SAP/CMMS maintenance data.
• Prepare daily and monthly maintenance reports.

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in DRI/Sponge Iron/Steel/Cement/Power plant preferred.

Skills Required

• Knowledge of rotary kiln systems and heavy industrial equipment.
• Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, and lubrication systems.
• Familiarity with SAP/CMMS maintenance software.
• Strong troubleshooting and team coordination skills
