Role Overview

A Fitter – SMS Mechanical handles maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment in the Steel Melting Shop to ensure smooth plant operation.

🏭 Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of SMS equipment (EAF/LD converter, ladles, cranes, conveyors).
• Attend breakdowns and troubleshooting of mechanical faults.
• Carry out preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Fit, assemble, align, and dismantle mechanical parts (bearings, pumps, gearboxes, valves).
• Assist in shutdown and overhauling activities.
• Ensure proper lubrication and upkeep of machinery.
• Follow safety procedures and work permits.
