A Security Guard is responsible for protecting people, property, and assets by maintaining vigilance, controlling access, and responding to security situations.
🛡️ Key Responsibilities
🚪 Access Control
- Check and verify ID cards, visitor passes, and gate entries
- Control entry/exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles
- Maintain visitor register and gate pass records
👀 Surveillance & Monitoring
- Patrol assigned areas regularly
- Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems
- Watch for suspicious activities or unauthorized access
⚠️ Safety & Emergency Response
- Respond to incidents such as:
- Theft or trespassing
- Fire or accidents
- Raise alarms and inform supervisors/police/fire services when needed
- Assist in evacuation during emergencies
📋 Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain daily logbook and incident reports
- Record all unusual activities during the shift
- Report security breaches or risks immediately
🏭 Industrial / Site Duties (if applicable)
- Check material movement (inward/outward)
- Prevent theft, pilferage, or unauthorized removal of goods
- Ensure proper sealing and documentation of vehicles
