Job Summary:
The Helper supports maintenance and workshop activities in the Rolling Mill Division by assisting fitters and technicians in day-to-day operational and repair tasks. The role involves providing hands-on assistance, ensuring availability of tools, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Junior Fitters and Technicians in mechanical maintenance and repair work.
- Hold tools, equipment, and components during maintenance and fitting operations as instructed.
- Perform assigned tasks as directed by senior team members to support ongoing work.
- Ensure proper handling and movement of tools, materials, and spare parts within the workshop.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and equipment.
- Support in dismantling and assembling of machinery components under supervision.
- Follow safety instructions and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist in routine inspection and preventive maintenance activities.
- Report any unsafe conditions or abnormalities to the supervisor immediately.
