JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Jr. Executive

Department: Raw Material

Location: Raturia, Angadpur, Durgapur – 15
Reporting to: Departmental HOD – Raw Material

JOB PURPOSE

To efficiently manage and monitor the day-to-day activities related to raw material receipt, unloading, transportation, stock analysis, consumption monitoring, documentation, and coordination across all three plants. The position is responsible for ensuring timely availability of raw materials, accurate reporting, proper documentation, and smooth coordination with transporters and concerned departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Reporting & MIS

• Prepare and submit daily departmental reports covering raw material unloading, stock position, stock analysis, and consumption.
• Compile and consolidate raw material data for all three plants and ensure timely submission of daily MIS reports.
• Maintain accurate records of raw material receipts, unloading quantities, stock movement, and consumption.
• Analyze daily stock and consumption trends and highlight significant variations to the reporting authority.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all departmental reports and related documentation.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPIs)

• Timely and accurate submission of daily raw material reports and MIS.
• Accuracy of stock, consumption, unloading, and vehicle movement data.
• Effective monitoring of raw material transportation and vehicle movement.
• Timely validation of E-Way Bill information.
• Proper monitoring and reporting of raw material chemical parameters.
• Efficient supervision and coordination of unloading operations.
• Timely identification and escalation of discrepancies.
• Compliance with company procedures, documentation requirements, and safety standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Good knowledge of raw material management and inventory monitoring.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, MIS preparation, and data analysis.
• Ability to analyze stock, consumption, transportation, and chemical data.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple activities and meet daily reporting deadlines.
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of E-Way Bill and transportation documentation will be an advantage.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Essential: Graduate in any discipline / Diploma or Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, or a related field.

Desirable: Relevant experience in Raw Material, Stores, Logistics, Procurement, Steel Plant Operations, or a similar industrial environment.

EXPERIENCE

Preferably 3–10 years of relevant experience in raw material handling, inventory management, logistics coordination, MIS reporting, or steel plant operations.
