Department: Electrical (SMS Division)
Location: SSIL Bamunara Plant
Job Summary
Responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and smooth operation of electrical systems in the Steel Melting Shop (SMS) to ensure minimum downtime and safe operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of SMS electrical equipment
- Troubleshoot faults in HT/LT panels, transformers, motors, drives, and control systems
- Ensure smooth functioning of EAF/IF, LRF, CCM, and auxiliary systems
- Follow safety procedures, LOTO, and statutory compliance
- Maintain records, logs, and reports
- Support installation and commissioning activities
- Guide junior electricians and coordinate with other departments
