Job Summary

The Senior Electrician is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and machinery. The role includes supervising electricians and technicians, ensuring compliance with safety standards, minimizing downtime, and maintaining reliable electrical operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, motors, control panels, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, lighting systems, and power distribution equipment.
2. Troubleshoot electrical faults and breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to ensure uninterrupted operations.
3. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for installation and maintenance work.
4. Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance activities on electrical equipment and systems.
5. Supervise and guide electricians, helpers, and contractors during maintenance and project activities.
6. Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.
7. Monitor and maintain electrical inventory, spare parts, tools, and testing equipment.
8. Perform testing, commissioning, and inspection of new electrical installations and modifications.
9. Maintain maintenance records, work reports, and equipment history documentation.
10. Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
