Position: Senior Manager
Department: Weighbridge
Division: Administration
Job Description: Head - Weighbridge
1. To lead, manage, and supervise the entire operations of the Weighbridge Department.
2. To ensure accurate and transparent weighment of all incoming and outgoing materials.
3. To maintain systematic records of all weighbridge transactions on a daily basis.
4. To prevent any malpractice, manipulation, or unauthorized interference in weighment.
5. To ensure 100% compliance with company SOPs and statutory guidelines.
6. To coordinate with Transport, Stores, Production, and Security departments for smooth operations.
7. To verify and cross-check weighment slips with challans, invoices, and GRN documents.
8. To ensure proper calibration and periodic maintenance of all weighbridges.
9. To prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly weighment reports to management.
10. To lead and train the weighbridge operators and ensure discipline in shifts.
11. To ensure CCTV surveillance and data backup for all weighbridge activities.
12. To monitor and control overloading of vehicles as per RTO norms.
13. To resolve any discrepancies in weight in coordination with concerned departments.
14. To implement digitalization and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy.
15. To maintain strict confidentiality of all weighment data and reports.
16. To conduct surprise checks to ensure integrity and honesty in operations.
17. To ensure 24x7 manning of weighbridges without any interruption.
18. To handle audits and provide required data to internal and external auditors.
19. To enforce safety, discipline, and housekeeping standards at the weighbridge area.
20. To report any irregularities directly to the Plant Head with promptness and integrity.
