Key Responsibilities

  • Manage company-owned and hired vehicle fleets.
  • Monitor vehicle availability, utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Plan and supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, workshops, service providers, and insurance agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with vehicle registration, permits, insurance, PUC, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain vehicle records, service history, fuel consumption, and repair costs.
  • Monitor fuel management and implement cost-control measures.
  • Analyze fleet performance and prepare MIS reports.
  • Manage vendor contracts related to vehicle maintenance and transportation services.
  • Support employee transportation and logistics requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and transportation policies.

Operational Duties

  • Vehicle inspection and fitness monitoring.
  • Scheduling servicing, repairs, and annual maintenance.
  • Breakdown management and emergency support.
  • Driver deployment and performance monitoring.
  • Verification of transport bills, maintenance invoices, and fuel expenses.
  • Coordination with internal departments for transport requirements.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Fleet budgeting and cost analysis.
  • Vendor evaluation and contract management.
  • Insurance claim processing and renewals.
  • Preparation of monthly fleet performance reports and dashboards.
  • Documentation and audit compliance.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of automobile systems and vehicle maintenance.
  • Fleet management and transport operations expertise.
  • Knowledge of motor vehicle regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • MS Excel, ERP, fleet management software, and reporting tools.
  • Leadership, team handling, and problem-solving abilities.
