Job Summary

The Bricks Plant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, managing manpower, ensuring product quality, maintaining safety standards, and achieving production targets. The role involves coordinating with production, maintenance, quality, and dispatch teams to ensure efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

  • Supervise daily brick manufacturing operations.
  • Ensure production targets are achieved as per the production plan.
  • Monitor raw material availability and consumption.
  • Optimize machine utilization and production efficiency.
  • Minimize production losses, wastage, and downtime.

Workforce Supervision

  • Allocate work to operators, helpers, and laborers.
  • Monitor attendance, shift deployment, and workforce productivity.
  • Train employees on operating procedures and safety practices.
  • Maintain discipline and promote teamwork among workers.

Quality Control

  • Ensure bricks meet specified quality standards and dimensions.
  • Monitor raw materials, mixing, molding, drying, and firing processes.
  • Coordinate with quality personnel for inspections and testing.
  • Take corrective actions to address quality issues.

Plant Maintenance Coordination

  • Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance teams.
  • Ensure routine inspection and preventive maintenance activities are carried out.
  • Monitor the condition of kilns, conveyors, mixers, molds, and other equipment.

Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce plant safety rules and use of PPE.
  • Conduct regular workplace safety inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and statutory regulations.
  • Report accidents, incidents, and near-miss events.

Inventory and Material Management

  • Monitor stock levels of raw materials, fuel, and consumables.
  • Coordinate with stores and procurement departments.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain daily production and shift reports.
  • Record manpower utilization, downtime, and production losses.
  • Prepare reports on productivity, quality, and safety performance.
  • Communicate operational issues and improvement opportunities to management.
